The Bel-Air Bay Club opened in 1927, built by Alphonzo Bell on fourteen acres of bluff above Santa Monica Bay. Mediterranean arcades, a quarter mile of beachfront, and a lawn that ends where the Pacific begins. On a clear evening you can see Catalina from the terrace.
